Friday, Sept. 22
12:49 a.m. A man reportedly saw the glow of a fire on Routt County Road 35 and was concerned that something was burning. Fire fighters determined the fire to be a controlled burn.
1:02 a.m. People reportedly were fighting in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue. Officers mediated the situation.
2:40 a.m. A 78-year-old man was taken to the hospital from the first block of Highland Circle because he was suffering from a medical problem.
7:56 a.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported near 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue.
8:49 a.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue.
10:25 a.m. A woman in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue reportedly received a threatening letter. A report was taken.
12:10 p.m. A car reportedly slid off of U.S. Highway 40 near mile marker 145. Police said the driver of the car was going too fast for conditions. No one was injured.
12:33 p.m. Someone reportedly found graffiti on a phone box near Walton Creek and Columbine drives.
2:44 p.m. A man in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue reported several juveniles on top of an abandoned hotel.
8:29 p.m. A suspicious vehicle reportedly was driving around the 3600 block of Lincoln Avenue. Officers found the driver and the driver told them he was just looking for a campsite.
9:39 p.m. A sexual assault was reported somewhere in the county. The incident is under investigation.
10:52 p.m. Someone reportedly stole a car, crashed it and then parked it behind some storage sheds on Walton Creek Drive.
