Architect takes lead of Steamboat chapter

— Cyd Pougiales with the Thira Incorporated architecture firm was recently designated as the lead coordinator of the American Institute of Architects Colorado West Chapter in Steamboat Springs.

The American Institute of Architects is a nationwide organization whose members work with one another and their communities to create more valuable, healthy, secure, and sustainable buildings and cityscapes.

Alltech Glass Service has new owners

Alltech Glass Service is under new ownership. Rodney Husman and Ray Chamberlain have 25 years of combined experience in glass services. They took over the business after the death of longtime owner Mark Dernay.

Husman and Chamberlain will specialize in custom shower doors, fogged and broken residential and commercial windows and mirrors. Alltech Glass service can be reached by calling 879-1471.

Workshop teaches leadership using horses

A leadership workshop is being held from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 29 at Saddle Mountain Ranch. Christina Haxton will teach the Aha! HorseSense workshop, using horses to teach teamwork, leadership, goal setting and trust building.

All workshop activities are done on the ground so no horse riding or horse experience is necessary. The cost is $49 per person or $39 when two or more people register. Visit www.HorseSenseTeamBuilding.com for more information. Proceeds will benefit Routt County 4-H.
