Topping the news this morning, water district officials from the Front Range are considering pumping water from the Yampa River to Northeastern Colorado. If adopted, the project could cost close to $5 billion to build, and the water could be sold for $10,000 to $15,000 per acre-foot once it reaches the Front Range. No charges will be filed against two boys involved in a hunting accident last week. The boy who was shot was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, but he's doing fine now.

Ski Corp. is looking for locals to fill more than 100 seasonal jobs at a job fair Friday. Managers will be at the fair with information about available positions, and applicants will get interviews on the spot. The fair is from noon to 6 p.m. at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel. In sports, the last race of the Steamboat Springs Running Series is Sunday. The Run for Literacy, sponsored by the Steamboat Pilot & Today, features a 7.25-mile run, a 5K run and race/walk, and the First Impressions Tot Trot.
