New support group for single/divorced dads

An informational meeting for single/divorced dads is at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Steamboat Springs High School's counseling office. The schedule of future meetings will be determined based on fathers' work schedules. For more information, call high school counselor Justin Pacheck at 871-3621.

University of Denver rep to be at CMC Thursday

A representative from the University of Denver will be at Colorado Mountain College from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday to talk about the school's masters programs and the new bachelor of arts completion program.

The presentation is in the Mountain View Dining Hall in Willet Hall. The CMC campus is located on Bob Adams Drive overlooking downtown Steamboat Springs.

Western Slope College Fair is Oct. 8 in Aspen

The third annual Colorado Western Slope College Fair is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 8 at Aspen High School. More than 1,000 students from 32 Western Slope schools attended last year's fair, which has become one of the best stops for interested students and parents.

Representatives from more than 160 colleges and universities, including 16 in-state colleges and top national institutions such as Stanford and Harvard, are scheduled to attend the free fair. Workshops will be presented on the admissions process, financing of college and finding the right college.
