Steamboat Springs A house fire burned an abandoned mobile home on the east end of Yampa Street in the Westland Mobile Home Park late Tuesday night.
Steamboat Springs police Officer John McCartin said no one lives in the mobile home that burned or the two adjacent mobile homes along the Yampa River.
McCartin said he got a call for a structure fire at about 11:45 p.m., and that when he arrived on scene, "it was totally on fire."
McCartin said firefighters from the Steamboat Springs Fire Department had the fire contained and extinguished by midnight.
"They put it out pretty quick," McCartin said.
He said the cause of the fire hadn't been determined, but he did not rule out arson. He said that the fire was the "second or third" fire he had seen in the Westland Mobile Home Park in the past six months.
Westland residents have until Sept. 26 to vacate the mobile-home park to make room for the new Riverwalk development.
"They'll probably bulldoze it now," McCartin said about the trailer.
No one was injured in the fire.
