Resort association seeks event information
The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is seeking event information to include in its winter calendar of events. The calendar will include events that happen between November 2006 and April 2007. The information will be posted on the chamber's Web sites as well as in a winter visitor's guide, community maps, press releases and other publications.

Oak Creek, Yampa public library hours expand
The South Routt Library Dis-trict is extending hours at the Oak Creek and Yampa public libraries.
Hours at the Oak Creek Public Library are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday; 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Story-hour is at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Oak Creek Public Library is closed Thursdays and Sundays.
Hours at the Yampa Public Library are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday; and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Story-hour is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Yampa Public Library is closed Fridays and Sundays.

Applications for grant funds due today
Applications for Routt County Purchase of Development Rights Program are due to the Routt County Board of Commissioners' Office today. Qualified projects must relate to protecting agricultural operations, natural areas, and open lands. In general, they should protect the unique Western heritage of the Yampa Valley for its residents and visitors. For more information or an application, call Helena Bond at 879-0108, ext. 315.
Youth Ensemble Program registration under way
Registration is under way for the Steamboat Springs Chamber Orchestra's Youth Ensemble Program. The nine-week session includes programs for violin, viola, cello, string bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba and piano players. The program begins the week of Sept.18. Call 879-9008, ext. 107.
