— A 23-year-old man was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of careless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol after he lost control of the car he was driving near Mount Werner Road and Routt County Road 14.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Tonya Cowan said Benjamin Smith, of Denver, and four men who were riding with him in the car were not injured.

Smith reportedly lost control of his car as he was driving north on Mount Werner Road, went down into a ditch, crossing a set of railroad tracks and rolling the car. The car came to a stop on its passenger side after it hit an embankment, she said.

Passengers David Boyza, 25; Todd Bischoff, 25; Bradley Key, 25; and Jason Wyse, 25, were fine, she said.

Cowan said alcohol contributed to the accident, though the accident is still under investigation.
