Barbara Meglen of Steamboat Springs has won a lift ticket to the Steamboat Ski Area courtesy of the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. and steamboatpilot.com

Ski Corp. and steambopatpilot.com are giving away a lift ticket every day in September. At the end of the month, one of the 30 winners will win a season pass. Also as part of the promotion, everyone who enters will be eligible for a drawing for two airline tickets.

As an additional prize, the Friday winners will receive a $50 gift certificate good at Steamboat Ski Area facilities. Meglen, the first Friday winner, will receive the gift certificate.

Participants may enter once a day at steamboatpilot.com. To enter, just click on the powder hounds advertisement on the left side of the Web site.

Daily winners will be announced during the video news update each weekday morning on steamboatpilot.com. Weekend winners will be announced on Mondays.

I logged on at about 11:30 this morning to enter the ski ticket giveaway contest. Imagine my surprise when I discovered you'd already given away the ticket for the day. I went back to see what the cutoff time was to enter for the day, but y'know what? THERE WASN'T ANY! So, if this is an equitable deal, what do we have to do to be considered for the contest? Do we need to log in at midnight, or no later than 1:00 AM? Hmmm, I'm usually asleep at that time.....

The Friday winner was chosen from entries on Aug. 31. You are entered for the Saturday drawing. The drawing is done at the end of each day and that person is the winner for the next day.
