— Steamboat Springs High School golfer Paul Berry was named to the honorable mention All-Colorado golf team by the Rocky Mountain News.

Berry, who finished ninth in the Class 4A state championship at Haymaker Golf Course earlier this month, was one of 21 high school golfers to be selected. Berry was the only golfer on the Western Slope selected to the team.

"Obviously, I am very proud of that," said Scott Berry, Paul's father and the team's assistant golf coach. "It is something very well deserved on his part."

Berry was a low medalist in two tournaments this year. He won his second straight regional championship.

Legacy's Steve Ziegler, a two-time 5A state champion, was named Golfer of the Year. Zach Zaramba from Pueblo West, who won the Class 4A state championship at Haymaker, also was named to the team.

Kent Denver's Bob Austin was named coach of the year after leading his Sun Devils to the 4A team championship.
