Q. When did you move to Routt County and what brought you here?

A. Thirty years ago. I wanted to live in a small town in the West where the people are friendly and there is a college.

Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken recently?

A. A Jeep ride out of Marble

Q. Describe your morning routine.

A. Up at 5:30 a.m., feed the dogs, take them out to get the Today paper, coffee with paper, then on to the day's activities.

Q. Has a book ever changed your life? What was it and why?

A. "Your Erroneous Zones," by Wayne W. Dyer. It said you can do something different.

Q. What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

A. Be myself.

Q. What are the first things you tell new acquaintances about yourself?

A. I've been here for 30 years and I still feel like a newcomer. Then I ask them about themselves.

Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?

A. Old.

Q. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and what would you talk about?

A. Our "Dear Leader" and three of his minions and I would serve crow for them to eat.

Q. Do you collect anything?

A. Mementos from trips.

Q. In the Meatloaf song, "I would do anything for love, but I won't do that," what is that?

A. I don't know that song.

Q. What was your first job?

A. Selling blouses in a department store in Balto.

Q. Who is your favorite superhero? Why?

A. Alexander the Great because he's a good leader, and Hector of Troy because he's a decent man.

Q. If you could go back in time, to what event or time period would you go?

A. 1930s when all you had to worry about was what time to come in for lunch.

Q. What is your favorite thing to do in Routt County?

A. Enjoy the different seasons.
