Oak Creek SHARE will accept food orders today

The Oak Creek chapter of SHARE Colorado, a nonprofit food cooperative, will accept food orders from 6 to 7 p.m. today. Winter Carnival events registration opens Feb. 1

Registration for the 94th annual Winter Carnival street events opens Feb. 1 at the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association visitors center at 1255 S. Lincoln Ave. The visitors center is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The Winter Carnival street events will take place Feb. 10 and 11. Winter sports club hosts Alpine FIS races

Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club is hosting a Holiday Weekend of Alpine FIS races at Howelsen Hill from Dec. 15 to 17. The weekend includes two nights and two days of slalom racing. Volunteers are needed to work as gatekeepers. Lunch and a lift ticket voucher to the Steamboat Ski Area for every race worked will be provided. Call Debbie Gooding at 879-9261.

Steamboat Lions Club sells Christmas trees

The Steamboat Springs Lions Club is selling Christmas trees at Christy Sports in Central Park Plaza and at the vacant lot across Lincoln Avenue from Bud Werner Memorial Library.

The tree stands are open from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
