Four Points wants you to show off your ink
Got a tattoo and want to show it off? Four Points is looking for anyone interested in having a picture of their ink featured in an upcoming edition of the weekly arts and entertainment section. What we need: a high-resolution, color photo of the tattoo (appropriate body areas only, please) and a short description identifying what the tattoo is, why you got it, when you got it and where you got it. Optimist Club looking for teen nominees
The Steamboat Optimist Club is accepting applications from area high school seniors for its Teen of the Month award. All teens recognized as a Teen of the Month will be eligible for a $1,000 Teen of the Year award to be presented at the Teen of the Year dinner in May. Applications are available at all counselors' offices in Steamboat Springs, Hayden and Oak Creek, or call club president Sid Hopkins at 870-8172 or Rob McCarthy at 871-7179 for more information.
LIFT-UP Donation Center closed until Tuesday
LIFT-UP of Routt County's Donation Center will remain closed until Tuesday, when it will re-open at the new Lufkin LIFT-UP Center on Curve Court. For more information, call 879-3374.
Routt County Fairgrounds open for horseback riding
Don't let your horse get out of shape. The Routt County Fairgrounds multi-purpose building is open to the public for horseback riding. The cost is $5 an hour. Open riding sessions last through the winter with a varied schedule. Horses are not provided. The schedule is posted at www.routtcountyfair.org, or call 276-3068 for more information.
Figure Skating Club's fundraiser is Dec. 8
The Steamboat Springs Figure Skating Club's annual Silent Auction and Wine-tasting Fundraiser is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Catamount Ranch and Club clubhouse. There will be food, wine and live music performed by Todd Musselman. The silent auction includes art, music, food, fishing, skiing, sleigh rides, getaways and more. Tickets to the event are $35 a person and can be purchased at Howelsen Ice Arena or from Figure Skating Club members. The club is a nonprofit organization. For more information, call 846-3352.
