Denise Connelly: School thanks
Advertisement
I would like to thank the community for its strong support of our students and schools in the recent passage of 3C and 3D. Through their generous support we will be able to continue the quality education that we have enjoyed in the past. The new and improved elementary buildings and competitive salaries will enable us to meet the needs of the future and compete for quality personnel.
A special thanks goes out to the Task Force members who gave countless hours toward communication of information and goals to the community. We had a true cross-section of members from varying professions and backgrounds pulling together.
Their dedication will have a profound effect on education for many years to come.
I have heard that the true measure of the quality of a community or culture is how it takes care of its younger and older members. This community has stood behind its commitment. I am proud to live in Steamboat.
Denise Connelly
Steamboat School Board president
