— A 43-year-old Oak Creek woman was treated and released from the hospital Wednesday morning after suffering minor injuries in a rollover accident on west U.S. Highway 40.

Steamboat Springs police Capt. Joel Rae said Kelley Wiley sustained a minor leg injury when the 1995 black Chevrolet Blazer in which she was a passenger rolled over a retaining wall and onto its hood in the 3100 block of Lincoln Avenue.

The driver of the car, 20-year-old William Wiley, and passenger Scott Wiley, 44, of Oak Creek, were not injured, Rae said.

William Wiley reportedly was driving west on U.S. 40 when he lost control of the Blazer. The SUV rotated 180 degrees and slid across the median and the eastbound lane of traffic before going off the left side of the road and rolling, Rae said.

It wasn't snowing at the time of the accident, but the road was still icy from Tuesday's snowstorm, Rae said. William Wiley was driving too fast for the conditions, but he was not cited for the accident, Rae said.

All three passengers were wearing their seatbelts.
