Oak Creek SHARE accepts food orders on Nov. 28

SSWSC to host weekend of Alpine races Dec. 15-17

Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club is hosting a Holiday Weekend of Alpine FIS races at Howelsen Hill from Dec. 15 to 17. The weekend includes two nights and two days of slalom racing. Volunteers are needed to work as gatekeepers. Lunch and a lift ticket voucher to the Steamboat Ski Area for every race worked will be provided. Call Debbie Gooding at 879-9261.

Mark your calendars for the Ski Ball and Auction

The Ski Ball and Auction begins at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel. The evening will begin with a silent auction and continue with hors d'oeuvres, a live auction, dancing and music by the 17th Avenue Allstars. The event benefits Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club athletes. To buy tickets, call the Winter Sports Club at 879-0695, ext. 106.

Over-the-Hill Gang offers assistance to local athletes

Steamboat's Over-the-Hill Gang is offering financial assistance to local athletes for their education and/or skill improvement. Only athletes involved in winter sports are eligible.

Applications are now available at all Routt County high schools, Steamboat Springs Middle School, Whiteman and Christian Heritage Schools, CMC, the Winter Sports Club, as well as on line at: ssoverthehillgang.org.

Applications and attachments must be completed and submitted by mail by Nov. 13. Awards will be announced in December. Call Pat Aljanich 879-5784.
