Friday, Nov. 3

8:40 a.m. A man in the 900 block of Falling Water Lane reported someone stealing his ladder. Police said the man knew who stole the ladder and wanted to handle the theft on his own.

11:01 a.m. A drunken driver was reported near Lincoln Avenue and Hilltop Parkway. The driver was gone when officers arrived.

12:12 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported in the 600 block of Snapdragon Way.

1:59 p.m. Two dogs reportedly were running in and out of traffic near Lincoln Avenue and Downhill Drive. The dogs' owner was cited for allowing the dogs to run off leash.

2:13 p.m. A man reportedly lost his cell phone in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue.

2:52 p.m. Someone's dog reportedly was locked in a car that was towed from near mile marker 138 on U.S. Highway 40. Animal control officers picked up the dog after the car had been towed.

2:54 p.m. Someone reportedly stole a woman's bike in the 3200 block of Village Drive.

4:01 p.m. A lost wallet was turned over to its owner.

4:51 p.m. Two young people were seen running from a small fire near Short and Hill streets. There was no fire when firefighters arrived.

5:11 p.m. An 18-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested near Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue on suspicion of driving under revocation, DUI/driving under the influence of drugs, possessing less than 1 ounce of marijuana and possessing narcotic equipment.

7:10 p.m. A 50-year-old Yampa man was arrested on U.S. 40 near mile marker 140 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving.
