Unsigned letters are a waste of space, though those written in the first person can make for humorous reading. The May 7 letter on illegal immigrants, "I do not support..." "I'm sick and tired of..." and "I'm extremely against... ." Since you don't care enough to stand up for your opinions, the letter actually reads: Anonymous does not support, anonymous is sick and tired of, anonymous is extremely against. Pretty weak stuff.
Ironically the letter was adamant about citizenship. Webster's defines citizenship as "the quality of an individual's response to membership in a community." In my book, anonymous just doesn't cut it.
