Why you should go: Because you get to see a Dutch film that won the 1995 Academy Award for best foreign film in addition to many international awards. Dori Weiss describes the movie as an earthy, sexy, romantic and funny film filled with magical realism. It is a multigenerational celebration of simple pleasures and enduring passions. The film is about a remarkable woman and her teenage daughter who build a new life after World War II in the eccentric Dutch village of her birth.

Why you should go: Because these middle school students worked really hard to put on this show, and you get to see them fly!

Cost: Free
Why you should go: Because Williams has an amazing story to tell and is linked to an incredible legacy of history.

¤ Third annual Teen Battle of the Bands
When: 9 p.m. to midnight
Where: Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel grand ballroom
Cost: $5
Why you should go: Because it will be so much fun to watch the seven teenage bands battle it out for the title. Get ready to rock!

¤ C.O.G., heavy psychedelic space rock
When: 9 p.m.
Where: Hahn's Peak Cafe
Cost: Free
Why you should go: Because this band will always provide you with a rockin' good time.
