Steamboat cookbook wins Tabasco Community Award
"Steamboat Seasons: A Medley of Recipes" won second place in the 16th annual Tabasco Community Cookbook Awards. The cookbook is a collection of recipes and anecdotes from Strings in the Mountains.
The Strings in the Mountains Guild produced the 224 pages of recipes from more than 650 entries collected from Guild members, local chefs, musicians and restaurants. All entries were tested and evaluated at "tasting parties." All recipes also were tested at 7,000 feet in elevation, but sea-level adjustments were made for the printed versions.
The cookbook is sold at a variety of Steamboat Springs businesses. Call Natalie Cowan at 879-8957.
