Nezzie Pearl Clark: 1914-2006


Former Oak Creek resident Nezzie Pearl Clark passed away April 13, 2006, in Denver. She was 92.

Nezzie moved to Oak Creek in January 1960 to pastor the Pentecostal Holiness Church. The 23rd Psalm was one of Nezzie's favorite psalms.

She had a variety store on Oak Creek's Main Street during the 1980s.

When unable to live by herself, she moved to Highlands Ranch to live with her son Paul in November 1997.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her son, Richard; her daughter, Mary; and her grandson, David.

Nezzie is survived by her four children, Robert and his wife Martha Clark, Martha and her husband Jim Willis, Naomi and her husband Ted Theones, and Paul and his wife Verna Clark; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Leona Hutson; two brothers, Harry and James Yarnell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held April 18, 2006, at the Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary in Littleton.
