Houston benefit concert to be held Tuesday

In honor of Brian Houston and his contributions to Steamboat Springs' music community, the Colorado Mountain College Columbine Youth Chorale is organizing a public concert at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church. All donations will go to the Brian Houston Family Fund. The Youth Chorale is looking for singers and other musicians -- individuals and groups -- to perform at the concert. Bookstore honors teachers during appreciation week

Off the Beaten Path Bookstore is honoring local teachers during next week's National Teacher's Appreciation Week. All teachers from Northwest Colorado can stop at the bookstore from Monday until May 14 for a free gift bag and complimentary beverage.

Applications for historic properties due May 24

Community blood drive is May 11 at hospital

A community blood drive sponsored by the Yampa Valley Medical Center Auxiliary volunteers is from 12:30 to 6 p.m. May 11 at YVMC. Call Tosia Sauter at 870-1495 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome as space permits.

Newborn Network needs monthly volunteers

The Newborn Network is looking for volunteers to spend between two and four hours each month helping local families with newborn children. Call 879-0977 for more information.
