Parents encouraged to attend district audit
A special education audit of the Steamboat Springs School District is scheduled for March 30 and 31. A parent focus group is from 7 to 8 p.m. March 30 in the Steamboat Springs High School's commons area. Parents who have children with disabilities enrolled in the school district are strongly encouraged to attend the focus group, which is part of the audit. Participants do not need to RSVP. Tread of Pioneers on high-season schedule
The Tread of Pioneers Museum, 800 Oak St., is operating on its high-season schedule. During the high season, the museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
City needs applicants for preservation commission
The city of Steamboat Springs is looking for applicants to serve on the Historic Preservation Advisory Commission. The commission meets from 5 to 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. The commission provides guidance, education, resources and review to preserve, protect and restore the elements of the built, natural and cultural environment that define the character of Steamboat. The commission needs applicants in professional positions such as architects, historians, archaeologists and architectural historians. Other interested applicants also should apply.
