A graveside service for longtime Steamboat Springs resident Melvin Hitchens is at 2 p.m. Monday in Steamboat Springs Cemetery. Close friends are invited to the Veterans of Foreign Wars post on Lincoln Avenue from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday. Anyone who wants to bring food is asked to call Mary at 879-0890 or 879-0034. Memorial donations may be made to the Steamboat Ski Jumping Club in care of Grant Mortuary, 621 Yampa Ave., Craig, CO 81625.
