Over the Hill Gang planning weekly activities

Steamboat's Over the Hill Gang will meet for activities weekly throughout the summer. Activities will include hiking on Mondays, mountain biking and gardening on Tuesdays, mountain biking on paved surfaces on Wednesdays, mountain biking on Thursdays and road biking on Fridays. Comunidad Integrada looking for event vendors

Comunidad Integrada is looking for vendors for the Sept. 16 Northwest Colorado Mexican Independence Day celebration at West Lincoln Park in Steamboat Springs.he cost for a booth is $100 for businesses and $50 for families and other organizations. Comunidad Integrada also needs volunteers to help coordinate the event and work the day of the event.
Veterans office open Wednesdays, Thursdays

The Veterans Affairs Office is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursdays. The Veterans Affairs Officer assists veterans in understanding their benefits and how to obtain them. Call 879-5489 or e -mail mcondie@co.routt.co.us.

City needs Historic Commission members

The city of Steamboat Springs is looking for architects to serve on the Historic Preservation Advisory Com--mission. The commission meets from 5 to 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. The commission provides guidance, education and resources to preserve, protect and restore the elements of the built, natural and cultural environment that define the character of Steamboat.

The commission needs applicants in professional positions such as architects, historians, archaeologists and architectural historians. Other interested applicants also should apply.

Cowboys' Roundup Days applications available

Cowboys' Roundup Days Ranch Rodeo applications are available at Mountain Valley Bank locations in Steamboat Springs, Walden and Hayden. The deadline for entries is June 30. A limited number of entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 879-9135.
