On June 2, the sixth-grade class from Steamboat Springs Middle School came to the Depot Art Center for its fieldtrip.
I would like you to know what a pleasure it was working with these students and their teachers. Not only were the students well-behaved, but they were also very knowledgeable and involved in the activities. As I gave my presentation, the students did a wonderful job of listening, sharing their thoughts with their classmates, and engaging with the artwork.
The parents and teachers of these children should be proud that these youngsters have not only learned how to behave but actually use the skills and manners that they have been taught. I was also impressed with how many of the students had previously visited the Depot. I could see that they are being guided to appreciate all that Steamboat has to offer.
It must be very gratifying to have such talented teachers and enthusiastic students at Steamboat Springs Middle School.
