Yampa Valley Ceili Society
Sunday, June 11, 2006
Your grandma and grandpa remember when contras, barn dances and cotillions were fun activities everybody enjoyed. But somewhere along the line, our culture got off track and hardly anybody goes to community dances anymore. What's up with that?!
The Yampa Valley Ceili Society will help you get your community dance groove back on! Irish ceili dancing (it's pronounced kay-lee, and roughly translated, it means nothing more intimidating than "party get-together") is good fun -- no experience necessary, no partner required, just show up and a good time is virtually guaranteed. We'll teach you the steps and call the dances, and best of all, nine times out of 10, we have LIVE music! Unbeatable good fun!
Admission is FREE, donations accepted.
