Sherrod joins national land trust group
Former Routt County rancher Lynne Sherrod has resigned her position as director of the Colorado Cattlemen's Agricultural Land Trust.
Sherrod will become the western policy manager for the Land Trust Alliance, a national organization based in Washington, D.C. She lives near Collbran.
The mission of the Cattlemen's Land Trust is to help the state's ranchers and farmers protect their agricultural lands and encourage continuing production. Sherrod was the organization's first director. During her nine-year tenure, the land trust helped protect 125 ranches representing about 225,000 acres.

Moots Cycles turns 25 with cabernet
Moots Cycles, a Steamboat Springs-based bicycle manufacturer, is celebrating its 25th anniversary by partnering with Silverado Vineyards to produce "Breakaway Red," a limited production 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon.
