The Steamboat Pilot & Today has become a loose cannon. On May 14, you skewered the City Council for choosing site "A" for the community center, citing the pressures of conflict with the library's limited bond time frame and the displeasure of the seniors who want site "B." A subsequent front-page story was entirely about jeopardizing the library bond time frame.
On May 24, you skewered the City Council for moving too fast in choosing site "B," the only other recommended option. This latest, highly critical editorial states: "The intense pressure on the city to select a community center site is puzzling." Unbelievable. That pressure came from the Steamboat Pilot & Today.
If indeed you are correct in the May 24 editorial's conclusions about a hasty decision, your earlier writings have done harm to us all.
