Charlene Stees: Cyclists a problem
Saturday, June 3, 2006
In the (May 18) Steamboat Today there was a hotline telephone number for bicyclists to call in response to motorists being rude or out of line.
About 5 minutes after I read the article, I went downtown, and within four blocks of my home I noticed two bicyclists blowing through stop signs, and then one went through a red light. On Short Street, which is a one-way street going north, there are always bikers going down the street the wrong way. Where are the police officers? Why are they not enforcing traffic laws for bikes as well as for cars?
