Stine to open new audiology clinic
Corrin Stine is an audiologist and owner of Sounds of the Valley Audiology. She earned a master's degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana. Stine comes to Steamboat with 16 years experience working with neurootologists, who are physician's specializing in ear health. She has experience in all areas of diagnostic audiology, including extensive work with children and adults who use cochlear implants.
Services provided include diagnostic testing for all ages. Digital hearing aid consultation and fitting also are among the services Stine's clinic will offer.
Ski Corp. to offer
The Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation is seeking grant applications from nonprofit organizations for the Resort's Environmental Fund. The grant application deadline is 5 p.m. June 30.
The Granting Application packet may be picked up and dropped off at the ski area on the fourth floor of the Gondola Building from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. In 2005, employees who served on the Resort Environmental Fund committee awarded a record $29,300 in grants to worthy projects and programs that preserve the environment throughout Routt County. Organizations that benefited from the grants included Yampa Valley Recycles, Routt County Extension Office, Community Agriculture Alliance, CSU Institute of Public Policy, Yampa River Botanic Park, Rocky Mountain Youth Corps, Yampa Valley Land Trust, Young Tracks Preschool & Childcare Center and Steamboat Springs Community Youth Corp.
