Construction to repair a concrete and steel girder bridge in Oak Creek is scheduled to begin Aug. 2, Colorado Department of Transportation officials said Wednesday.
CDOT and the Castle Rock-based contractor Tricon 2 is scheduled to repair the sidewalk, rail, abutments and piers on the bridge that is on Colorado Highway 131 near mile marker 51, 20 miles south of Steamboat Springs.
A temporary signal will direct single-lane traffic, alternating traffic over the bridge until the work is completed in mid-September.
