Stephen M. Dearholt: Vandalism serious

The vandalism on the K-68 ski jump is a very serious problem.
I don't know who the owner is, whether it's the Winter Sports Club or the city.
I'm not a lawyer, but I believe the ski jump would fall under the heading of "attractive nuisance;" therefore, the owner could be liable for damages if somebody is hurt.
One possible solution could be surveillance cameras combined with sensors that go to the police before the cameras and lights go on.
This should be followed up with very serious fines for anybody who's caught in the restricted area.
All this may seem like harmless fun but I guarantee if some kid falls off the jump and is paralyzed the lawsuits will come down heavier than a February white out.
