Former Routt County resident Hope Stevenson Ulak died June 20, 2006, at her home in Craig. She was 56.
Hope was born Dec. 24, 1950, in Swedesboro, N.J., to Ervin and Marguerite (Sholders) Stevenson. She was raised and attended school in Swedesboro.
Hope married Ronald Ulak on Aug. 25, 1985, in Mickleton, N.J. They moved to Colorado in 1991 and lived on Trout Creek near Oak Creek. Hope worked as a bank teller for 10 years and then in a urology clinic in Steamboat Springs and Craig. Hope and Ronald moved to Craig in December 2005.
She enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing and knitting.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ervin Stevenson.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Ulak of Craig; daughters, Stephanie Roushinko of New Jersey, Kristine Cucinotta of New Jersey and Amy Danforth of Missouri; stepdaughter, Tonya, and her husband, Kerry Smith, of West Columbia, S.C.; stepson, Ronald, and his wife, Angie Ulak, of North, S.C.; mother, Marguerite Stevenson of New Jersey; sisters, Faye Sandy of New Jersey, Margie Sasam of New Jersey; Mae Thompson of New Jersey; and six grandchildren.
Memorial services were held June 30, 2006, at Grant Mortuary in Craig with Father James Fox officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Craig Mental Health's program "Reaching Everyone, Preventing Suicide," in care of Grant Mortuary, 621 Yampa Ave., Craig, CO 81625.
