First National Bank opens new location
First National Bank of the Rockies has moved into its new building at 270 Anglers Drive, next to McDonald's. For the past two years, the bank had been operating at 465 Anglers Drive.
The new building provides customers with a more comfortable and convenient place to do their banking, said Greg Dixson, regional president of First National Bank of the Rockies. The 8,500-square-foot building houses 10 employees and includes a drive-through banking center and a drive-through ATM. The office also offers Internet banking, check imaging and same-day deposits until 6 p.m.
Pool, spa company receives certifications
Pacific Spas and Pools employees have received certifications as pool and spa operators. Owner Danny Tebbenkamp took over the company a year ago. Pacific Spas and Pools maintains and repairs pools and hot tubs. Since acquiring the company, Tebbenkamp and his employee have been certified. Tebbenkamp said the company has increased business by about 10 percent since he purchased it.
New water district board leaders elected
The board of directors of the Mount Werner Water and Sanitation District has elected Jon Halverson president and chairman of the board. He succeeds Tim Borden, whose 15-year term recently expired.
The board also elected Nancy Mayer as vice president and Stephen Gale as treasurer. Jay Gallagher, district manager, remains as secretary.
Halverson has been a board member since December 2004. He is retired from the law firm of Davis Graham & Stubbs after a 28-year career as a natural resources attorney. He was a member of the board of directors of Strings in the Mountains from 1994 to 2001 and chairman from 1998 to 2001; and he was on the board of the Yampa Valley Land Trust from 1993 to 1995.
