Library holds Babytime program on Saturdays
Bud Werner Memorial Library will resume its Babytime program Saturday mornings with a free program for babies, toddlers and their parents.
The Babytime program features rhymes, movement, Mother Goose stories and simple books. Babytime is from 9:30 to 10 a.m. and 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturdays through Feb. 18. It is a free, drop-in program. Call 879-0240 or visit www.steamboatlibrary.org for more information.
New deadlines for The Lowell Whiteman School
Because of a growing number of applications from students in the Steamboat Springs area, The Lowell Whiteman School is moving from a rolling admissions process to a deadline process.
The school has two admission deadlines for next school year. Those seeking early admission should submit applications no later than Feb. 1. Applications for regular admission are due April 15.

'It's a Girl Thing' seriesregistration under way
Bud Werner Memorial Library's "It's a Girl Thing" book discussion series for girls and women will continue this spring. This free program is open to girls ages 10 to 12 and a female partner, such as a mom, grandma, friend or teacher. Pairs may sign up for one or two discussions.
The discussions are from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Feb. 3, March 3 and April 7 at the library. The library will give each pair a copy of the discussion book to keep.
Registration is required. Call the library at 879-0240 or stop by the children's desk to sign up. Space is limited.
Register for spring lacrosse by Feb. 15
Registration for spring lacrosse is under way for boys in grades four through eight and girls in grades six through eight. The deadline for youth lacrosse registration is Feb. 15.
