Youth basketball league registration forms available Registration is under way for the city's youth basketball program. The program is for children in third through sixth grades and runs from March through May. The program is designed for youths who want to learn more about the fundamentals of basketball in a noncompetitive atmosphere. Registrations are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration forms can be obtained at the Parks, Open Space and Recreational Services Department office. Call 879-4300 for more information.

A Yampa man was in jail Monday facing three criminal charges in connection with an incident with an ex-girlfriend about guns, which occurred Sunday at the Royal Hotel.

Local skiers named to Olympic team

The U.S. Nordic Combined and Special Jumping teams made it official Monday by naming 11 skiers to the Olympic team that will compete in Turin, Italy, in February.
