More than 900 arrived at airport Wednesday
After several days during which departing passengers outnumbered arriving ones at Yampa Valley Regional Airport, the build-up to the Martin Luther King holiday weekend reversed the trend Wednesday.
Resort officials were expecting 919 arrivals Wednesday at the airport that serves the Steamboat Springs resort area. The number of arriving passengers compares to 589 departing passengers.
Most of the airport's Wednesday flights arrived on time, or, in four cases, a few minutes early. However, the American Airlines flight from Chicago was expected to arrive almost two hours late after a delay in takeoff that was attributed to a need to change aircraft.
Radio station operators seek listeners' feedback
The operators of WWFM 91.1 and 92.7 are looking for feedback from listeners. The station recently shut down its 92.7 translator as officials determine whether transmission from an Emerald Mountain tower is needed to provide coverage to the area. WWFM listeners who are experiencing a loss of reception of the classical music station can call Lynn Abbott at 870-6673.
