Teens on Tour program outing March 10 and 11

The city of Steamboat Springs' Teens on Tour program is holding its next outing March 10 and 11, when teens will take a shuttle to Denver. In Denver, they will shop at Colorado Mills mall, eat dinner at Fat City and have the opportunity to play laser tag, bumper cars, roller skate, bowl or play miniature golf, among other activities. On March 11, the teens will swim in the hotel pool and visit the Denver Aquarium.

The cost for the two-day trip is $75, which includes dinner March 10, breakfast and lunch March 11 and all activities and lodging. Teens will stay at the Holiday Inn Denver West in Golden. A limited number of scholarships are available. Participants must bring a bag lunch for March 10.

The registration deadline is Thursday. Registration packets are available at the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department offices, 245 Howelsen Parkway.

Teen Programs staff will supervise the trip, and there will be a maximum staff-to-student ratio of one-to-five. For more information, call recreation coordinator Brooke Lightner at 879-4300, ext. 355, or recreation specialist Kate Richter at 879-4300, ext. 354.
