Human resources policies workshop at noon Thursday
The Nonprofit Excellence Project is hosting a workshop on human resources policies for nonprofit organizations from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday in the Crawford Room of Centennial Hall, 124 10th St. The workshop is free, but participants must RSVP; to do so, call Winnie DelliQuadri at 871-8257 or e-mail her at wdelliquadri@ steamboatsprings.net.
The Nonprofit Excellence Project is a project of the city of Steamboat Springs, the Routt County United Way and the Yampa Valley Community Foundation.
YVMC will give early blood draws March 13-16
Yampa Valley Medical Center again is offering early blood draws by appointment only for those who can't attend the 9Health Fair on April 1. The blood draws will be March 13 to 16.
The cost will be the same for early blood draws as it is for blood draws at the 9Health Fair. The costs are: $30 for biochemistry, $25 for a PSA test for men and $12 for a blood count. Colorectal cancer screenings will be available for $5. Call 875-2759 to schedule an appointment.
Arts council holds cast auditions for 'Cabaret'
The Steamboat Springs Arts Council will hold cast auditions for this year's production of "Cabaret Night Live" at 1 p.m. March 11 and at 3 p.m. March 12 at the Steamboat Springs Mountain Theater in Ski Time Square. Call 879-9008 for more information or visit www.steamboatspringsarts.com.
Tread of Pioneers Museum open Tuesdays to Saturdays
The Tread of Pioneers Museum, 800 Oak St., is operating on its high-season schedule. During the high season, the museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Fairgrounds multipurpose building open to public
The Routt County Fairgrounds multipurpose building is open to the public for horseback riding. The cost is $5 for two hours. Days and times vary according to the schedules of the volunteer supervisors. The schedule can be viewed at www.routtcountyfair.org, or call 276-3068 for more information.
Suicide support group offered monthly
Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide, or REPS, is offering a monthly support group for those who have lost a loved one to or who have been touched by suicide. "Heartbeat of Routt County" will be held the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Visiting Nurse Association office, 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101. Hosts include Ronna Autrey and Laurie Marano, both of whom are local community members who have lost loved ones to suicide. For more information, call Ronna at 871-0682.
Preservation commission applicants sought
