Madeline Merrifield, 1913-2006

Former Steamboat Springs resident Madeline Merrifield died Feb. 16, 2006, in Longmont. She was 93.
She was born April 18, 1912.
Madeline and her husband, Clarence, lived in Steamboat from 1945 to 1975. They operated the Steamboat Bakery until it closed May 29, 1970. For the next five years, they enjoyed their retirement in Steamboat. In June 1975, they moved from Steamboat to Longmont.
Clarence died in 1991 and is buried at Mountain View Memorial Park, 3106 Kalmia Ave., in Boulder. Madeline will rest next to him.
