¤ Performance by local rock band In-Cog-Nito; Benefit show to help with travel and competition expenses for local world-class speed skier Tim Magill

Where: Glen Eden Restaurant & Tavern, C.R. 129 in Clark
Why you should go: This band is all about having fun, has a big North Routt fan-base and is playing for a good cause.
¤ Performance and Fat Tuesday party with local band Dogsled

Where: Old Town Pub
Cost: $3 after 10 p.m.
Why you should go: In the tradition of St. Patrick's Day, Cinco de Mayo, Fourth of July, Groundhog Day and any day ending in "y," Fat Tuesday is a great day to par-tay.
¤ Opening night of the 34th annual Steamboat Dance Theater
When: 7:30 p.m. Thursday to March 4
Where: Steamboat Springs High School theater
Cost: $18 for reserved seats; $15 for general admission; and $8 for students and seniors. Children 12 and younger will be admitted free at the Thursday show.
