Two exhibits opening at Depot Art Center

The Steamboat Springs Arts Council presents two art exhibits that will run through March 12 at the Depot Art Center. One of the exhibits, "Locations of Consciousness," is by three Eagle Valley artists and printmakers who explore the experience of place, in themselves and in relation to their environments. The second exhibit features paintings by new artist member Amanda Adare.

Admission to both exhibits is free. The Depot is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Call 879-9008 or visit

Volunteers needed for Girls to Women Connection

Organizers of the 2006 Girls to Women Connection are looking for volunteers interested in participating in the event. The Connection is scheduled for April 11. Boys, girls spring lacrosse registration under way

Registration for spring lacrosse is under way for boys in grades four through eighth and girls in grades six through eight. The deadline for youth lacrosse registration is Feb. 15.
