SATURDAY, AUG. 19
5:04 a.m. A man stole a towel and was trespassing on the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue. The man was arrested on suspicion of second degree criminal trespassing, theft and resisting arrest.
9:49 a.m. A reckless driver was called in by a citizen near mile marker 114 on Highway 40. Two deputies stopped the driver who was an illegal immigrant who presented a fake ID. Immigrations and customs did not respond, so the man was let go.
10:31 a.m. A pit bull was reported behaving very aggressively on the 40500 block of County Road 52. The owner was contacted and given a warning.
11:03 a.m. A pack of dogs was reported running loose in the Moonhill Meadows complex. The dogs were picked up and returned them to their owner.
2:50 p.m. A half round of metal concrete was reported stolen from the 37800 block of Highway 40. The incident was a civil complaint.
4:26 p.m. An intoxicated woman parked her vehicle on the railroad tracks by Hayden. She told officers that she wanted to get hit by a rail car. They took her under protective custody and turned her over to mental health with no charges.
5:24 p.m. A man was arrested for domestic violence charges including third degree assault, harassment and false imprisonment on the 1700 block of Burgess Creek Road.
6:50 p.m. Someone reported a person riding a dirt bike on the corner of Lincoln and Main Street in Yampa. The individual was pulled over and warned for a noise violation.
8:48 p.m. The Routt County Sheriff's Office was contacted because an individual on the 31000 block of County Road 64 saw someone on an adjacent mountain shining a flashlight as if they were signaling for help. When investigated further, there was no evidence of someone seeking help and no further action was taken.
9:02 p.m. A noise complaint was reported on the 3300 block of Meadow Lane for fireworks. The suspects could not be found when officers arrived on scene.
