Future entrepreneurs seminar on Monday
Colorado Mountain College and Steamboat SCORE volunteers will host a seminar on new business start-up methods and planning from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Bogue Hall on the CMC campus. This Next Steps class will focus on business feasibility, sales forecast, competitive analysis and building financial forecasts. A fly shop will serve as an example business for simulation exercises to be held each evening. The program will include groups working together to complete the simulation exercises.
The cost of the program is $100 for all four evenings. Those who have attended a First Steps seminar at CMC will receive a $40 credit. Couples working on the same business idea will be charged the fee for only one person.
J.K. Wall designer receives training
Julie Hagenbuch, President of J.K. Wall designers LTD recently attended Hunter Douglas Showcase priority dealer training. Hagenbuch achieved the "Window Fashions Institute Professional" designation after more than 80 hours of training. Additionally, Kris and Julie Hagenbuch attended training focused on advanced motorization techniques and interfacing with home automation systems. Wall designers is located at 1120 S. Lincoln Ave. Suite C-1, next to McDonald's. An open house is being held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sept. 14.
Nonprofit Excellence Project hosts workshop
The Nonprofit Excellence Project is hosting a Capacity Building Workshop on Program Evaluation from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 24 in Centennial Hall, 124 10th St. The Nonprofit Excellence Project also is hosting a Funders Roundtable with the Anschutz Family Foundation from noon to 1 p.m. in Centennial Hall.
