New business startup

seminar is next week

Have you been considering opening or buying a business in Steamboat? Not sure where to start or how to build your plan?

Next week, Colorado Mountain College and the Steamboat SCORE volunteers will host a semi-annual seminar on new business startup methods and planning at Bogue Hall. The seminar is from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 21 through Aug. 24. The Next Steps class will focus on business feasibility, sales forecast, competitive analysis and building financial forecasts. A fly shop will serve as an example business for simulation exercises to be held each evening after lecture. This program will include groups working together to complete the simulation exercises.

The cost of the program is $100 for all four evenings. If you have attended a First Steps Seminar at CMC in the past few years, you will receive a $40 credit against the fee. If you have taken Next Steps previously at CMC, you are entitled to re-take the seminar at no fee. Finally, couples working on the same business idea will only be charged the fee for one person.

Call Randy Rudasics at 870-4491 during business hours.
