High school art show opening Tuesday at Depot
The Steamboat Springs High School Art Show opens at the Steamboat Springs Art Depot on Tuesday and runs through May 5. The show features National Art Honors Society students' work. The opening is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. It is designed and organized by Sierra Lovejoy-Dragonn as her senior project.
Carpenter's Ball to benefit Habitat for Humanity
The inaugural Carpenter's Ball to benefit Routt County Habitat for Humanity is at 6:30 p.m. May 13 at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel. Tickets are $50. Call 879-0882, ext. 209.
Hospital holding First Aid, Adult CPR classes May 8
Yampa Valley Medical Center is holding a Heartsaver Adult CPR and Fist Aid class for nonclinical people from 5 to 10 p.m. May 8. Call 871-2500 to sign up. The class will be held at the Visiting Nurse Association.
Workshop about learning difficulties is Tuesday
A parent workshop on accommodations and modifications to curriculum for children with learning difficulties is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Northwest Colorado BOCES Conference Room. A dinner will be served at 6 p.m. For reservations, call PEAK Parent Center at (800) 284-0251.
Comunidad Integrada seeking sponsors for event
Comunidad Integrada will host Craig's second annual Cinco de Mayo Festival from noon to 5 p.m. May 6 at the picnic area of the Moffat County Fairgrounds.
This festival's goal is to bring together community members from various backgrounds in a fun, family setting while fostering the appreciation of the Mexican culture through art, food, and performance.
Comunidad Integrada is looking for area businesses, youth groups, organizations, and individuals who would like to participate in the celebration. Business booths are $100, and nonprofits pay $50. Comunidad Integrada also is seeking a major sponsor of the event. Call 846-5521.
