Alice Florence Mayhew: 1936-2006

Former Steamboat Springs resident Alice Florence Mayhew passed away April 2, 2006, at her home in Denver after a brief battle with cancer. She was 70.

She was born March 27, 1936.

All nine of her children made it home to be with her and say their last goodbyes before she passed peacefully in her favorite recliner.

Alice is survived by her husband, Lyman F. Mayhew, and her children, Jody and her husband, Larry Piper, of Gallatin, Tenn., Debbie and her husband, Larry Eden, of Hartsville, Tenn., Kathy and her husband, David Gaines, of Lafayette, Tenn., Kevin and his wife, Debbie Mayhew, of Loveland, Jim and his wife, Tonya Mayhew, of Denver, Lyman Jr., and his wife, Kimberly, of Hayden, Pam and her husband, Corey Williams, of Milner, Peter and his wife, Mary Mayhew, of San Diego, Calif., and Paul and his wife, Amy Mayhew, of Sanford, Fla., 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three sisters; and one brother.
