Pilot & Today seeking Editorial Board members
The Steamboat Pilot & Today is accepting letters of interest from community representatives interested in serving on the newspaper's Editorial Board. The community representatives would serve a four-month term beginning May 1.
The Editorial Board includes two community representatives and four members of the newspaper staff. Newspaper staff members on the board are publisher Bryna Larsen, editor Scott Stanford, city editor Brent Boyer and reporter Tom Ross. The Editorial Board formulates the Our View opinions expressed on the ViewPoints page of the newspaper.
Readers interested in serving on the Editorial Board should send a letter of 500 words or less expressing their interest in the board to Stanford at firstname.lastname@example.org or P.O. Box 774827, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477. Letters also may be dropped off at the Pilot & Today office at 1901 Curve Plaza. Nominations are due April 21.

Middle school tree sale fundraiser under way
The Steamboat Springs Middle School's annual tree sale is under way. The tree sale and fundraiser promotes Earth Day and raises money for a variety of educational programs and needs, including textbooks, outdoor activities and science camp tuition.
