Matteo is Rotary Student of the Month

Katie Matteo, Steamboat Springs High School Senior, was honored as Rotary Student of the Month at the Tuesday meeting of the Steamboat Springs Rotary Club. Katie is the daughter of Bob and Nona Matteo.

"In her own quiet way, Katie is one of our school's finest student leaders," Lynda Stahl, SSHS science teacher, said. Matteo has served as yearbook editor for the past two years and is an officer of the student Honor Council. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and a producer for the school's Dance Showcase.

"Katie demonstrates the very best qualities of those young people who have been selected for this Rotary honor," said John Centner, club vice president.

CNCC Vice President Hollenbeck resigns

After seven years at the helm of the Colorado Northwestern Community College-Craig Campus, Vice President Dean Hollenbeck announced his resignation Thursday

He will be president of Flint Hills Technical College in Emporia, Kan., beginning Jan. 1, 2006. Hollenbeck will remain with CNCC in Craig until early December.

Colorado Northwestern's interim Chief Executive Officer Bob Rizzuto made the announcement to the college Thursday, saying, "Dean has provided CNCC with tremendous leadership."
