4:09 a.m. Construction workers reportedly were heard before 7 a.m. in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The workers were cited for early construction work.
7:44 a.m. Several speeding complaints were made on River Road. Two vehicles were given citations for driving faster than the speed limit. One vehicle was going 6 mph faster than the speed limit, and the other was going 7 mph.
9:47 a.m. A 24-year-old man reportedly was arrested in the first block of Fifth Street on suspicion of violating a protection order.
10:20 a.m. A possible fraud was reported at the police department.
11:43 a.m. A black dog reportedly was running loose in the 2600 block of Copper Ridge Frontage. The dog was gone when officers arrived.
12:29 p.m. A 26-year-old man who was in the custody of the Routt County Sheriff's Office in the 2000 block of Shield Drive also had a warrant for his arrest from the Steamboat Springs Police Department. Before the man left the jail, the additional city charges were added.
1:31 p.m. An assault was reported at the high school. The incident allegedly occured in the 1100 block of Anglers Court.
3:17 p.m. A cell phone reportedly was lost in the 1400 block of Pine Grove Road.
3:46 p.m. A dog reportedly followed some children home after lunch in the 800 block of Oak Street. The dog was returned to its owner.
6:28 p.m. A two-vehicle, fatal accident was reported in the 10000 block of U.S. Highway 40. A driver was killed when he lost control of his vehicle and was hit by another car. The men in the other vehicle were treated for their injuries.
9:46 p.m. Officers reportedly interviewed someone with mental health issues in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. The person was fine.
9:55 p.m. Several people reportedly were being loud and yelling in the 3000 block of Village Drive. They were warned.
11:28 p.m. Several people reportedly were sliding down stair railings with a kayak in the 1300 block of Bob Adams Drive. Officers did not contact the people because the activity is not illegal.
